The
third floor of the hospital includes a labor room,
where vaginal births take place. Cesarean sections
are performed in the major operating theatre. The
addition of the NICU has boosted the ability of
the hospital to care for the children of complicated
pregnancies and difficult deliveries. Approximately
250 children are born at Lok every year. Gynecological
surgeries include vaginal and abdominal hysterectomy,
removal of ectopic pregnancy, salpingoopherectomy,
and ovarian cyst removal. Five obstetricians and
gynecologists provide these services - Dr. Ashalata
Menon , Dr. Sushma Gunjotikar, Dr. J M Mehta, Dr.
Kavita Mehta and Dr. Mohn Chandavarkar.
